(*Vishnu Purana* I.15, *Bhagavata Purana* 6.6): Through his wife Gati (also called Kshama), Pulaha fathered various animal species. His offspring include the **Kinnaras** (celestial musicians with horse heads and human bodies), **Kimpurushas**, and certain classes of animals. He is specifically credited with the creation of deer, lions, tigers, and other wild animals.

Association with Kashmir

Pulaha is particularly associated with the **Kashmir valley** and the **Himalayan region**. His ashram is said to have been in the area of **Haripurdham** or **Hardwar** in some accounts, and in Kashmir in others. The *Bhagavata Purana* mentions that Pulaha's ashram was located near the **Manasarovar** lake or in the **Shalagrama** region (modern Nepal/Kashmir borderlands).
