📜Origin Story
Maharaja Agrasena, in Agrawal tradition a Suryavanshi king, founded the city of Agroha in today's Hisar district of Haryana. He is the father of the Agrawal community: tradition says he held eighteen yajnas, and each gave its name to one of the eighteen Agrawal gotras, each with a rishi as its teacher. Excavations at Agroha have found a town of the early centuries CE.
