The Nauti committee postponed the Raj Jat to 2027 in January 2026, while the Kurud "Badi Jat" began on 5 September 2026: possibly rival processions. Both committees are listed.

The region-wide goddess of Garhwal and Kumaon, carried every twelve years on the Raj Jat. The Kunwars of Kansuwa and the Nautiyal purohits of Nauti hold hereditary roles. William Sax reads the Raj Jat as a married daughter's return to her natal home.
